"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few." This handsomely produced government pamphlet-printing of Churchill's legendary speech delivered in the wake of the "Battle of Britain" has become quite scarce. Here is a very good copy with covers that are complete, but foxed, front and rear. The contents are not foxed. The staples have rusted, as per usual, but remain attached. A far better than average copy, beautifully preserved in a half-leather green cloth, suede-lined solander with gilt spine titles.
Bibliographic numbers (in parentheses) are from Frederick Woods' original Churchill bibliography (Woods), as emended by Richard Langworth in his Connoisseur's Guide; and from the new, greatly expanded Churchill bibliography by Ronald Cohen (Cohen).
