Description: This rare vintage program from Bristol's Colston Hall documents one of Churchill's speaking engagements during his 1924 campaign for a seat in Parliament after two years out of office. Running without traditional party affiliation, as a self-proclaimed "Consitutionalist and Anti-Socialist" in the constituency of Epping, Churchill would ultimately win this election on October 29 and was returned to Parliament, where he represented Epping, uninterrupted, for the next 40 years.

It is worth noting that Churchill's cousin and former-private secretary, Frederick "Freddie" Guest, also spoke in a supporting role on this night.

The program measures 6 1/4 x 9 inches, with the front and back covers here separated in a double mat and magnificently framed.

Please Note: This is a weighty item and does not qualify for free shipping.
