The culmination of Churchill's Boer War narrative in South Africa that began with LONDON TO LADYSMITH, including the triumphant liberation of his former-POW campmates in Pretoria.

Description: This is a genuinely beautiful copy of the First American edition. The binding is tight, the cloth is fresh, the gilt lettering and gilt topstain are quite bright. There is the shadow of a removed bookplate on the front free endpaper. The contents are otherwise fine and unfoxed, with all maps and illustrations present, including the frontis photo tissue guard. Rare thus.
