Description: The volatile labour political figure's autobiography, with Forewords by Winston Churchill and George Lansbury. A very difficult-to-find title, this is a good copy only of the First English edition, without dust jacket. Book has been rebacked somewhat crudely and the spine is faded and shelfworn, as are the boards, which have significantly rubbed corners. Gilt is still legible. Contents fine, with minor foxing to fore-edges and prelims, and loss of roughly 1 x 2 1/2 inches from the front free endpaper where an inscription was apparently torn out.
