This is a rare double-spread (16 1/2 x 10 inches) full-color cartoon from the British humor magazine, Punch, dated July 2, 1919, in very good condition. Drawn by the noted political cartoonist, L. Raven-Hill, who also illustrated STALKY AND CO. for Rudyard Kipling and KIPPS for H.G. Wells, "Mr. Punch's Political March-Past" is an extraordinary assembly of brilliant political caricatures led by David Lloyd George, with Winston Churchill directly behind him riding a carousel horse.
Bibliographic numbers (in parentheses) are from Frederick Woods' original Churchill bibliography (Woods), as emended by Richard Langworth in his Connoisseur's Guide; and from the new, greatly expanded Churchill bibliography by Ronald Cohen (Cohen).
