Description: A handwritten caption on the verso reads:
"Paris. Winston Churchill lights up a cigar after the dinner given for him at the Elysee Palace by French President Auriol. L-R = with Churchill are Leon Blum, Pres Auriol and Foreign Minster Bidault. The occasion was Churchill's visit to France to recieve the French military medal. May 1947."

The photograph is in very good condition with one lightly creased corner. The verso is backstamped "International Newsphotos" and bears a lengthy pencil caption.
