Churchill at Chartwell
Excellent anthology, including Churchill's THE DOCTOR AND THE SOLDIER (pages 161-171). This is clearly the American edition of this title, (though neither Woods nor Cohen mention the existence of an American edition), a very good copy of the Second Issue (so designated by the words "2nd Edition" on the title page), with light wear and some bubbling to the cloth, else fine. There is an elaborate bookplate on the front pastedown, the contents are otherwise fine as well, with no foxing. A rare book.
Bibliographic numbers (in parentheses) are from Frederick Woods' original Churchill bibliography (Woods), as emended by Richard Langworth in his Connoisseur's Guide; and from the new, greatly expanded Churchill bibliography by Ronald Cohen (Cohen).
