Rare World War I-era tobacco card, number 21 of 25 manufactured for Chairman Cigarettes' "War Portraits" series, featuring a half-length sketch of Winston Churchill in wing collar and greatcoat. Issued in 1915, before Churchill's resignation as First Lord of the Admiralty, the card measures 2 5/8 x 1 3/8 inches, with a one-paragraph bio printed on verso: "First Lord of the Admiralty. Although still young has played many parts..."The card is in very good condition, with some light wear and one rubbed corner.
